Overview: The Hospitality Coordinator is hired to assist the church staff with providing support for all aspects of the church operation, specifically focussing on areas within fellowship and hospitality. The Hospitality Coordinator will work 20 hours per week with the majority of that during normal operation hours of the Church Office. But, due to the nature of this position’s responsibilities, there will be times when the Hospitality Coordinator will need to fulfill some of these hours when supporting evening or weekend events. As an employee of the Church, The Hospitality Coordinator will agree to support the mission of Covenant Presbyterian Church and to abide by the CPC Policy Handbook. 


Reports to: Acting Administrative Director, but will also provide support for the Director of Womens’ Ministries and Community Life and the church Pastors as needed.

Requirements


Responsibilities:

  • Provide a welcoming presence in the church Office and at Church hospitality and fellowship events.. 
  • Assist the CPC staff (most specifically, the Director of Women’s Ministry and Community Life) with planning all CPC hospitality and fellowship events. 
  • Organize volunteers for hospitality and fellowship events.
  • Coordinate and provide administrative support for weddings, funerals, and receptions held at CPC.
  • Ensure that these events are properly coordinated with the church calendar
  • Communicate set-up needs to facilities staff, coordinate volunteers, and coordinate staff availability to accommodate needs. 
  • Work with the Acting Administrative Director to develop appropriate policies to ensure that these events are conducted with consistency.
  • When in the front office, assist in answering church phones, receiving packages, greeting guests, data entry, and other tasks as assigned.
  • Provide back-up support for operational processes (e.g. website and app support, social media, church announcements and emails, etc.).


Compensation: This is a part-time, hourly position. Compensation commensurate with experience and education.
