Description


Purpose: The Children’s Ministries Intern works directly with the Director of Children’s Ministries in order to effectively prepare curriculum, materials, long range plans, and other support necessary for children’s ministries activities.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities: This position is responsible for facilitating ministries to children from age two through grade six. As such, the intern should worship at CPC during the internship period. 


Position may include all the following activities at various times:


Serve: help lead and teach in the various ministries to have an understanding of the complete program (Children’s Worship, Sunday School, VBS, Kids Praise on Sunday evenings, etc.)

Curriculum development: plan and alter ideas to fit this body and adjust teaching to conform to our needs

Prepare: complete weekly material preparation for Sunday School classrooms and keep children’s ministries resources organized 

Outreach: assist with our local outreach to children in public schools

Support: provide administrative and creative support in appropriate areas to the Director of Children’s Ministries 

Oversee: shepherd at least one complete program at some time during the internship 


Time Commitment: The Children’s Ministries Intern will work an average of 20 hours per week, which may vary on a seasonal/program basis.
