Communications and Marketing Specialist
Position Description:
The Communications and Marketing Specialist will help Bonhomme and its ministries tell their stories in compelling ways by developing, producing, editing, evaluating, and approving all communications and marketing deliverables (including the newsletter, website, videos, print materials, e-blasts, social media, and any other marketing materials.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Help the Pastors and small groups cast their compelling vision for the church within the congregation and into the community by ensuring that all of Bonhomme's communication deliverables align with the church's vision, brand, and values.
• Implement a digital and traditional marketing strategy that will raise awareness for Bonhomme to reach more people in West County to spread the gospel and increase members.
• Develop a communications calendar that balances all-church communications in a user-friendly way while keeping continuity with our church's communication values.
• Work with ministry leaders to help them clarify their messages and broadcast them throughout the congregation and into the community by helping them produce relevant deliverables.
• Manage requests for announcements from various ministry leaders (Elders, Deacons, and Volunteers), helping them determine how to tell their story that works within the quarterly communications.
• Periodically audit and edit the website and other marketing initiatives to keep everything up-to-date.
• Meet with all the staff and special committees who can impact Communications and Marketing internally and externally.
• Create and participate in special projects as needed.
