Description
Living Hope is seeking a full time Assistant Pastor to oversee the Youth and Community Ministry as well as engage in multiple areas of service within the church. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for children and youth with a passion for both evangelism and discipleship. We are seeking a candidate who is willing to serve and grow in this position and more importantly, as a disciple of Christ.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Assist in further developing and setting the vision and philosophy of ministry for children and youth.
• Oversee and further establish a discipleship oriented Jr. & Sr. High Youth Ministry.
• Diligently work to meet and actively minister to youth in the area.
• Lead, organize and train the volunteer team that serves the children and youth.
• Assist in outreach to the surrounding community by spending significant time meeting people and building relationships.
• Further develop and be actively involved in church small group ministry.
• Regularly assist in leading worship.
• Preach on a regular rotation.
• Help teach adult Sunday school.

Requirements
Qualifications of Candidate
• Personal character in line with the qualifications enumerated throughout Scripture for those who are called to teach and shepherd God’s people.
• Must have (or be working towards) a Masters of Divinity from a credible seminary.
• Must understand the nature and application of the gospel to himself, his family, and his ministry.
• Must also be Presbyterian in his convictions as summarized by the Westminster Confession of Faith.
