TCW is a gospel-centered, Reformed, city-facing (missional) church plant in the western suburbs of Minneapolis. We're looking for an Assistant Pastor to assist our Church Planter as we grow and train the launch team, begin public worship, particularize, and start planting more churches. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about bringing the gospel, in word & deed, to the lost and the least. It is also a great opportunity for someone who feels God may be calling him to lead a church plant someday. We're hoping to train and equip numerous church planters and contribute to the planting of many gospel-centered, Reformed, city-facing churches in the Twin Cities.

 This job has four parts: evangelism, discipleship, outreach, and administration:

• Evangelism (20%)
• Regularly make new contacts and initiate spiritual conversations
• Develop strategies for TCW to connect with unchurched people
• Assist with evangelism training, follow-up and assimilation
• Discipleship (60%): 
• Assist with worship; preach 10-12 annually
• Assist with the design, development, and leadership of spiritual formation strategies for each age/stage. 
• Special emphasis on Youth Ministry during the first year.
• Pastoral care and counseling
• Outreach (10%)
• Analyze needs in the Twin Cities and TCW’s ability to address those needs
• Develop partnerships with local mercy and justice ministries
• Plan and lead local service outings and foreign missions trips
• Assist with developing TCW’s church planting strategy
• Administration (10%) 
• Assist with Facilities mgmt., Budget, Database, social media, HR
• Recruit, train, and lead volunteers and ministry leaders
• Any other tasks assigned by the Church Planter

Requirements

How to Apply

We're currently not affiliated with a denomination, however, our Church Planter is an ordained PCA pastor. Someone who is ordained (or ordainable) in the PCA is preferred; but not required.
