Description
First Congregational United Church of Christ of Waterloo, Iowa seeks a full-time settled pastor who can lead our congregation into our future. We have a strong and active core of members. We care deeply about the church and work to support it and its mission. As we look to our future, we want to continue to do those things we do well. Yet, we also want to adapt to the needs of our current faith body and the outside community, both in our neighborhood and beyond. Waterloo is part of Cedar Valley, home of the University of Northern Iowa, strong public schools, many parks, nature preserves, miles of biking trails, water recreation opportunities, and multiple venues for fine arts and culture. Salary is commensurate with Iowa UCC guidelines and includes opportunities for creative allocation of cash, housing, insurance, education, relocation, and other possible benefits.

We seek a theologically strong spiritual leader who collaboratively and creatively leads congregants and staff to deepen faith and strengthen connections and involvement. We would like our next leader to be compassionate, organized, self-motivated, and outgoing.
