Summary Description

The Field Education Representative role is a part-time position providing support to students in programs with Field Education requirements. This position reports to the Director of Field Education.


Responsibilities

·      Manage an assigned portfolio of students from potentially any of the Field Ed related degree programs.

·      Conduct Field Education advising meetings with residential and online students (in person, on video conference, or over the phone).

·      Encourage, advise, coach, and assist students through their Field Education process, including site placement, Ministry Agreement development, hours review and approval, student reflection and supervisor feedback process, and final process closeout.

·      Respond to and address student questions and challenges.

·      Ensure that all paperwork, student outreach, and data tracking are regularly and accurately maintained.

·      Communicate and enforce departmental policies and processes.

·      Navigate complexity and potential nuance in policy implementation.

·      Participate in department staff meetings and projects as needed and directed.

·      Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Qualifications

·      Minimum of one-year employment commitment is highly preferred.

·      Ideal candidate should enjoy ongoing interpersonal contact with students, detail-oriented administrative work, and value experiential learning for ministry leadership development.
