Description
Village Church of East Atlanta began meeting in September of 2010 in the Brownwood Park
Rec Center. We started with about thirty-five people and a dream of planting a church that
would become deeply interwoven into the life of the neighborhood. Within a few years, we
outgrew the Rec Center and in October 2013 we moved into a storefront building in the
heart of East Atlanta Village, where we continue to gather today. The Atlanta Convention
and Visitors Bureau describes EAV as “a walkable area of town with unique, edgy character
and a thriving independent business sector.” We love this neighborhood and many of our
members live within biking and walking distance of the Village.
Our mission is to embody the love of Jesus in East Atlanta. We desire to be a people
compelled by the love of Jesus to live out God’s mission of renewal and restoration in our
East Atlanta community and beyond.
Our church is prayerfully seeking a new senior pastor, as our founding pastor has
transitioned to a new calling, to help revitalize our community as we seek to live out our
mission through our core values of gospel flourishing, gospel community, and gospel
mission.
To apply for this position, email your resume and a copy of your Ministerial Data Form (if
applicable) to hiring@villagechurchofeastatlanta.org. For more information about our
church, please review our church profile. We are excited about the future of our church,
and we look forward to hearing from you!
