Description
Leading the planning and organization of worship and music
Participating in worship including sermon preparation and preaching
Developing and supporting the lay leadership of the Church
Helping to develop and implement mission opportunities for service to church members and the larger community
Pastoral care (in collaboration with lay people)
Officiation at weddings and funerals for participants in our church community
Being a ministerial presence at church events
Professional development, study, and prayer to increase faith and to improve skills to continuously improve as a leader, teacher and preacher
Planning and administration of Christian Formation programs for all ages
Direct supervision of the Church Secretary, Organist and Custodian
Salary: $30K-$59K
Requirements
Love the Lord Jesus, be committed to Him and His Word
Display the characteristics of a leader as described in 1 Peter 5, Titus 1 and 1 Timothy 3
Passion for the scriptures and their communication to others
Shepherd those within and outside of the faith to bring them into closer relationship with Jesus Christ
Demonstrate humility while offering vision and oversight of the church ministry
Capable of working on a team towards a shared goal
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Theology, Ministry, ore Biblical studies, or the equivalent relevant experience
Five years of ministry experience or a combination of education and experience preferred, but not essential
