Description
Cross Park Church is a 12 year old PCA church serving the South Charlotte region with the message of grace in Jesus Christ. A congregation of about 200, we have had an active Youth Group for most of the life of the church, served by a number of gifted leaders over the years, supported by a strong team of adult volunteers.
While the Youth Group currently consists of 40 students in 6th-12th grades, we have a large population of elementary students soon to be added to the Youth Group. Current programming includes bi-monthly large group meetings, Sunday School classes, fellowship gatherings and occasional service projects. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Youth Director to lead our growing Youth Ministry toward the vision of “our youth worshiping Christ (Him), fellowshipping together (We) and reaching out to their friends with the gospel (Proclaim) so that the youth of Cross Park and South Charlotte might thrive in the gospel.”
We meet at a hybrid indoor/outdoor space with the anticipation of partnering with the local YMCA to build a permanent larger indoor space in the next 12-24 months.
Ordination is not required, though it is preferred. Successful completion of a Master of Divinity degree is necessary. Previous student ministry experience required. Please review the Youth Ministry Director Job Description, as well as the church website.

Oversight: The Youth Director will work under the leadership of the Session in partnership to further the Gospel.
Strategies: In conjunction with the Values of Cross Park Church, the Youth Ministry will operate with the following methods:
1. Regular Gospel Presentation & Application – We desire our youth to grow in their understanding of the Gospel and to have the ability to apply the Gospel to their lives.
2. Family Partnership – Cross Park’s Youth Ministry will partner with parents in the discipleship of our youth. This will necessitate strong and growing relationships between the Youth Director and parents.
3. Varied Approach – We will not take a monolithic approach to discipling our youth but will seek to achieve our Mission, Vision and Goals through a variety of avenues. Potential avenues might include but are not limited to Large Group meetings, Small Groups, One-on-Ones, Mentoring (adult volunteers), Events (retreats, game-nights, etc) & Service Projects.
4. Volunteer Team – The Youth Director will lead and work beside the volunteer team to help shape the ministry and serve students.
