Wellspring Church exists to see disciples of Jesus characterized by worship, formation and mission that renew the city and lead to a movement of new churches and to proclaim the glory of God’s Kingdom amidst a broken world.

 

The Position:

We are seeking an experienced Youth Pastor who loves Jesus and has a passion for raising up youth for the glory of God. This person will possess a natural ability to pursue the youth in Wellspring Church and the Englewood community through participation in Sunday Worship, other youth ministry events, community involvement and personal interaction. This individual will build and galvanize a gospel-centric youth ministry that focuses on discipleship in partnership with parents and the body of Wellspring Church.


General Expectations: 

  • Engage personal faith as a disciple of Jesus 
  • Participate regularly in Sunday Worship as a member of Wellspring Church
  • Participate as part of the Ministry Leadership Team in all-church vision & strategies:
  • Ministry Lead Meetings
  • “All staff” meetings and events 
  • Special services such as Christmas Eve, Holy week, Catechism, etc. 
  • Collaborate with other departments in caring for family units


Key Accountabilities: 

  • Create and lead vision for discipleship of youth 5th-12th grades through:
  • Developing a comprehensive strategy for discipleship of youth including parent support, regular gatherings, Sunday School, discipleship cohorts, contact work, social events and immersive experiences 
  • Planning camps, retreats and other immersive experiences 
  • Promoting and leading student catechism courses for 7th-8th grade and 10th-12th grade students to engage the core tenants of the Christian faith and explore Anglican distinctives 
  • Planning avenues of pursuit to all students 5th-12th grade, regardless of engagement in student programming 
  • Provide leadership, development, and oversight of YFM Staff to implement this vision through: 
  • Recruiting and leading teams of volunteers caring for students 
  • Providing ongoing student programming for 5th-12th grade students 
  • Engaging a comprehensive plan of contact work to develop relationships through getting on students’ turf 
  • Offer student connecting events 
  • Provide ongoing, clear parent communication 
  • Create Sunday school learning environments 
  • Engage community partnerships to connect with students not already connected to a church 
  • In partnership with the Family Pastor, encourage and equip parents in being primary disciplers of their own kids 
  • Equip and empower the entire congregation to be engaged with youth discipleship 


Reports to:

Executive Pastor of Ministry


Salary + Benefits:

  • $55,000+ DOE
  • Medical + Dental
  • 2-4 weeks paid vacation

Salary: $30K-$59K
