Description
Intown is a growing church in Atlanta, GA with a next-gen team ministering to over 300 0-18 year-olds. We feel the cultural tension of our moment and our geography, combining the remnants of Bible-belt suburbia with a high-performance, highly educated urban center, and our ministry to children and their families reflects this in its joys and burdens. Following a period of rebuilding during COVID, our children’s ministry is quickly growing, and we are adding a new full-time position to that ministry team, a Director of Children’s Ministry. This position would report to our Pastor of Students and Families as a part of a team culture that is highly collaborative, both as peers in ministry and through a larger strategy of integrating ministries to nursery-age, children, tweens, middle and high school students, and parents under shared vision and mission. Ideal candidates will be excited about both shepherding children through teaching, curriculum, and one-on-one discipleship, and adopting a missional mindset that envisions what post-Christendom children's ministry can look like.
Salary: $30K-$59K
Requirements
Education: child development or psychology or teaching/administration experience or Christian ministry
Experience: children’s ministry or education, church leadership
Passion for intergenerational ministry to children and families as a component of the church’s wider mission
Belief in doctrinal commitments of Intown Community Church and the Presbyterian Church in America
