Trinity Kirkwood Pastoral Intern for Next-Gen Ministries

Trinity’s Pastoral Intern for Next-Gen Ministries will assume leadership over Trinity’s Student Ministry, it’s Ministry to Young Adults and will have opportunities to engage in broader pastoral ministry in Trinity on an occasional basis. While this job could begin as a part-time job, it may have the ability to expand into a full-time position if the circumstances were such that it made sense to the candidate and session.

Trinity Church, located in beautiful Kirkwood Missouri, is a member congregation of the PCA with about 350 people. It exists to Exalt God, Establish God’s Church, Equip God’s People and Engage God’s world, all for the sake of the Risen King, Jesus Christ.

Reporting and Ministry Relationships:

            - Will report directly to the Senior Pastor and will be under the accountability of the Session

            - Will work alongside other Trinity Staff Members

            - Will lead a team of youth ministry assistants and volunteers

Remuneration and Benefits: 

* Compensation would be $500 a week for 25-29 hours of work- $24,000 annually

* Three weeks paid vacation annually

            * Eventual movement toward a full-time position could be possible

1. Directs and Participates in Trinity’s Student Ministry (20)

* Teaching (6)

- Will teach SH SS class most weeks (4)

- Will teach either the JH or SH mid-week meeting on rotating basis (2)

* Leading (4)

- Will co-lead mission’s trips and retreats with Youth Assistants (occasional)

- Will be present for both JH and SH mid-week meetings (unless simultaneous) (4)

* Planning (4)

- Will work with team to plan events and communicate with students & parents (2)

- Other Ministry administration (budgeting, recruiting volunteers) (2)

* Discipleship (6)

- Will regularly meet up with students after school and attend events (3)

- Will visit students at lunch as much as possible (2)

- Will meet with parents weekly (1)

2. Directs and Participates in Trinity’s Young Adult Ministry (5)

            * Teaching (3)

                        - Will lead and teach a small group for Trinity’s Young Adults

            * Planning (2)

                        - Will plan and attend regular social gatherings for Trinity’s Young Adults

3. Participates in Church Staff and other Pastoral Activities (3)

* Will attend church staff meetings (weekly) (1)

* Will meet weekly with the senior pastor (1)

* Will have opportunities to lead liturgy and preach occasionally (occasional)
