Description

An ideal candidate would:

Demonstrate patience, humility, integrity, and kindness while performing essential responsibilities as assigned by the classroom teacher.

The application of instruction/care is to be consistent with Covenant’s Doctrinal Statement and recognize that children are whole persons, created in the image of God.

Essential Responsibilities:

1.    Pray regularly with and for the students, parents, faculty and staff of Covenant Christian School.

2.    Assist and support the teacher in any way possible with classroom supervision, class projects, room decorating, snack and lunch time, cutting, pasting, copying, laminating, delivering items, etc.

3.    Help with classroom organization and clean up.

4.    Assist children to restroom, office, specials, recess, etc.

5.    Always available to teachers during class and scheduled times.

6.    Assist with other grades and classes as scheduled or as needed.

7.    Early care duty (no earlier than 7:45) on a rotating basis as scheduled by the school’s administration.

8.    Professional attitude with regards to parents; allowing the teacher to discuss any behavior or academic problems with the parents and allowing the teacher to meet with parents for conferences.

9. Maintain professionalism in regards to making any personal phone calls or taking care of personal business during time scheduled to be with your class and/or teacher.

10. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Education or Director of Student Life.
