Join the Early Childhood ministry at CCLS! Serve alongside master Lead Teachers working with our youngest learners from Infants up to Prekindergarten. Small, single-age classrooms offer you experience executing lesson plans, addressing behaviors, and building parent-teacher communication. Observe different ways of structuring a day; structuring a room; and even structuring facility layout and leadership.
Our multi-campus program offers a different size and feel in each of four different locations, allowing you to see how an ECE program may function in any or all of the following settings: a small church preschool, a larger early childhood campus, an integrated preschool and elementary site, and an integrated preschool/middle school/administration facility. Each location has its own Campus Manager who is also a Lead Teacher.

Requirements
Candidates should be equipped to:
- Share the Gospel of Jesus Christ in word and action.
- Assist the lead teacher in creating and implementing a developmentally appropriate, comprehensive program for early childhood students.
- Motivate children to develop socially, emotionally, physically, intellectually, and spiritually in the ECE program as they prepare for kindergarten.
- Engage and interact with the students in classroom activities.
- Establish collaborative relationships with ECE staff members.
- Create a partnership with the parents/guardians in the ECE program.
Experience and credentials:
- Experience caring for children in a school, daycare, nannying, babysitting, camp, or nursery setting is required.
- Experience working with children in a ministry or school setting is preferred.
- Coursework in Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related course of study is beneficial.
Physical requirements of the position:
- This position requires the ability to lift and carry a child 20+ lbs.
- This position involves moderate lifting 15-40 lbs. and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- This position involves daily kneeling, stooping, bending, and sitting on the floor to attend to children’s needs.
- This position requires the ability to quickly rise from a sitting position on the floor to a standing position.
- This position requires being on your feet for several hours at a time.
