Description

LBC is a gospel-centered church hoping to bring the good news of Jesus to the lost, found, city, and world. We are looking for our next Pastor/Director of Youth and Families to lead a team effort to rebuild a thriving youth ministry where kids and their parents can see and be amazed at Jesus.

Main Focus

Build and lead a ministry to youth and their parents embodying LBC’s vision and values (see additional document).

• Relationally connect God’s transforming love to the hearts of middle and high school students and their parents.
• Foster a ministry dependent on prayer that couldn’t survive without the Holy Spirit.
• Oversee programs like weekly youth group, Bible studies, and camp trips.
• Recruit, support, and encourage teams of staff, volunteers, and parents to create a long-term, sustainable ministry.
• Find creative ways for youth to feel seen and known well by our LBC church family. 
• Take advantage of opportunities to share the compassion and grace of Jesus with lost kids.
• Help youth develop a missional mindset with their friends.
• Lead a part-time youth ministry assistant.

Secondary Focus 

Collaborate with our Splash Kids staff to create a unified ministry for all families.

• Build a long-term, integrated ministry from Splash Kids to our middle and high school ministry. 
• Collaborate with Splash on opportunities for equipping families to grow in the gospel and live missionally.
• Maintain high communication with Splash staff when planning youth meetings, events, and calendar.   

Additional Opportunities 

Candidates seeking to be ordained in the PCA will also participate in broader pastoral work.
