 My name is Lauren Fink and I am with Ektrepho ministries. Ektre-what? Ektrepho. Actually, Ektrepho is a Greek word that means nourish. In every season of life, it is so important to nourish our souls and have regular opportunities to worship, learn, and spend time with Jesus. Sadly, many seniors residing in assisted living facilities or nursing homes do not have access to church services or times of worship. So, out of this need, Ektrepho was born. For those who don’t have access, we want to provide spiritual nourishment through worship services as well as devotional and prayer times, Bible studies etc. We are actively working to meet this need in the Kirkwood/Des Peres community. I am looking for volunteers to help with the Bible Studies. The volunteers would help take the seniors prayer requests, facilitate conversation if needed, etc. We currently have Bible studies set-up at 1pm and 2pm on Sunday afternoons.
