Description


Position Summary: The goal of this position is two-fold. First, it is meant to prepare the intern for future ministry endeavors by giving them a variety of experiences so he can discern God’s calling and test his gifting. Second, it is meant to serve the church by putting the intern in position to do significant ministry work. This internship is pastoral in nature and will focus on the worship service, discipleship, pastoral care, leadership development, teamwork, teaching, and fellowship.


Length: 10 weeks between Monday, May 20th and Sunday, August 11th


Hours: 40 hours per week. Sunday through Thursday.


Compensation

  1. $6400 for the summer provided by the church
  2. More may be fundraised as needed
  3. Housing provided - one bedroom in a congregant’s house
  4. Ministry expenses are reimbursable
  5. Including travel to and from the Bay Area
  6. It is best if the intern can drive his own car

Requirements


Minimum Qualifications

  1. A man with a heart for contextualized Gospel ministry that builds up and empowers believers, passes on the faith to their children, and weds together compassion and conviction with the lost.
  2. Enrolled in seminary and will have completed at least two semesters of his coursework by Summer 2024
  3. Open to a future ministry in the Bay Area, Northern California, or another similar ministry context
  4. Open to a future ministry in the PCA
