Description
Providence is looking for a solo pastor to shepherd a small congregation in Barboursville, WV. The church is in a suburban setting, with Huntington, WV and Marshall University just down the road. The pastor is responsible for the weekly teaching on Sunday morning and Sunday evening, along with administration of the sacraments. There would also be care of the flock, including the spiritual development of members, congregational fellowship, evangelism and other pastoral duties.
Salary: $30K-$59K
Requirements
Ordained (or able/willing to be ordained) in the Presbyterian Church in America. Demonstrated history of elder qualifications as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:6-9 + Called to learn, understand, and minister to the needs of our congregation at this particular time and place. Pursues the Lord in prayer, study, and daily spiritual disciplines. Experience in Preaching, Teaching, Evangelism, Discipleship, leading worship, and team work.
