The New City residency is an ideal role for anyone in school who desires to have hands-on experience in a local church context. This role has flexible hours catered to students and provides the opportunity to walk in leadership responsibilities in a vocational ministry setting.
New City Church St. Charles has been a church body since 2008 and has been an EFCA church plant since 2023. We are a congregation of 200 people in the historic Frenchtown neighborhood of St. Charles. Our mission is learning to live the ways of Jesus so our neighbors encounter the name of Jesus.
Salary: $0-$29K
Requirements
The primary responsibility of the residency is to assist our Family Ministries Director with student and children’s ministry. Secondary responsibilities may include local outreach participation, churchwide event preparation, preaching on Sunday mornings, leading classes or training, caring for members, social media management, and participation in off-site events such as camps or conferences. Secondary responsibilities will be determined according to the resident’s giftings, needs of the church, and ministry interests. This role is roughly 10 hours of work a week.
