Retail Sales and Inventory Manager

Job Description


Position Type: Part-time, 20 hours per week

Pay: $20/hr + 2% year end (fiscal) bonus on increased retail sales


Position Summary:


The Retail Sales and Inventory Manager will handle all logistics for Forai’s pop-up events across the city, manage Forai’s retail inventory, and collaborate with the marketing team to increase online and in-person sales. 


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate all external pop-up sales events (event research, staffing, logistics)
  • Train and oversee Sales Admin as she preps for sales events and fulfills online orders
  • Manage all retail inventory (creating purchase orders, monthly tracking and adjustments of inventory counts, inventory quality control, proper documentation with spreadsheets, product movement levels, proper fulfillment of orders, etc.)
  • Work with Marketing team to ensure product presentation is to brand and is represented across social media
  • Collaborate with Marketing Team regarding new sales promotions and events
  • Work closely with Product Development Team and Planning Team regarding new products and inventory needs
  • Manage Forai’s volunteer sales team (communicate monthly with team, recruit new volunteers, create and maintain online sign-ups for each event, and provide training for new volunteers)
  • Fulfill responsibilities within Shopify: maintain accurate inventory numbers, upload new products, monitor incoming online sales, and post upcoming events 
  • Monitor product levels by classification and communicate with the team if par levels are not met or of stagnant sales.

  • Familiarity with e-commerce sales; preferable familiarity with Shopify
  • Familiar with Google Workspace and comfortable with utilizing technology
  • Able to occasionally work weekends 


Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred 
  • 2+ years of experience in related field preferred


Physical Requirements:


  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to spend prolonged time
