ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reception
- Answering phone calls and
- Welcoming guests at the office front door
- Receiving and sorting office-wide mail and packages
- Direct Congregation Communication
- Weekly email newsletter and other emails to the congregation
- Bulletin- creating, printing, folding
- Song sheets- creating in collaboration with worship director and printing
- Worship slide presentation- collaborating with the worship director
- Updating social media platforms (NCF app, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc.)
- Church Announcements- on websites and Sunday morning
- Communicate church announcements with Francophone congregation
- Administrative Assistance to pastors and executive administrator for communications
- Send email communication to NCF and RSL employees as needed
- Order food for monthly staff training
- Record and post recording of monthly staff training to YouTube
- Organizing Sunday morning schedule
- Email slide team with sermon scripture and Ministry Moments
- Email Sunday morning preaching and worship schedule weekly to team
- Coordinate bi-monthly Ministry Moments
- Email monthly preaching and worship schedule to team
- Collaborate with pastors weekly to receive and distribute their sermon texts and slides
- Manage websites, content, and subscriptions for New City Fellowship and Restore St. Louis
- Manage Google email group lists- staff, elders, deacons, house church leaders, etc.
- Update and print ministry publications for Info Desk in gym lobby
- House church guides
- Visitor guides
- Core Values booklet
- Other flyers as needed
- Events Coordination
- Maintain NCF yearly calendar of events
- Think through each month and set up events as needed
- Add events to Subsplash events page and NCF Google calendar
- Communicate with building manager to reserve building space for each event
- Communicate with ministry leaders to plan and publicize events
- Adult Ed/Discipleship classes
- Coordinate with pastors to set up class schedule, reserve facilities, and confirm childcare
- Prep class materials, signage, etc.
- Membership and Baptisms
- Coordinate with pastors to set up and communicate membership classes, interviews, and reception dates
- Record membership transfers to and from NCF
- Coordinate with pastors to set up baptism dates, baptism elements, and baptism certificates
- Office Tasks
- Manage lobby, front desk, and printer areas
- Order office supplies and printer toner cartridges
- Monthly trips to Costco for kitchen supplies (sugar, coffee, soap, paper towels, etc.)
- Communicate with cleaning staff for office needs
- Miscellaneous
- Update contact management system with new members, baptisms, and changes of address
- Complete background checks for NCF and RSL ministries as needed
- Deliver worship laptop, song sheets, and bulletins to the church building at 82nd Street weekly
- Set up lobby and info desk
Salary: Hourly
Requirements
EXPERIENCE
Required:
• Communications/Marketing experience
Preferred:
• Attendance at New City Fellowship University City site
• Cross-cultural experience
• Training in NCF core courses
• Microsoft Office (particularly Publisher)
