Memorial Presbyterian Church is a community of Jesus followers seeking to bring the welcome of Jesus to St. Louis. We are a relationship-driven body, not a program driven body, and we want to see our students own the gospel and serve Jesus into adulthood.
Description
Seeking a female part-time (~10hrs/wk) youth intern to support Memorial’s ministry of teaching, equipping, and discipling middle and high school students.
Responsibilities
- Promise to abide by Memorial’s child safety policies.
- Be present at youth events.
- Attend weekly worship and Sunday school.
- Have at least 1 meeting with a student a week.
- Report any concerns to the Youth and Family Pastor.
- Assist Youth and Family Pastor in planning curriculum, teaching at small and large groups, and in planning and co-leading at events with the Youth and Family Pastor.
Support
- $1000.00 monthly stipend
- Reimbursement for youth ministry related expenses.
- Weekly check-ins with the Youth Pastor.
Salary: $0-$29K
Requirements
Candidates must be:
- Members in good standing within a church community in which the Gospel is proclaimed.
- Practicing the marks of the kingdom of Christ: faith and repentance.
- Willing to be an example of Christian conduct in all of life.
- Those who desire to connect with and love particularly middle and high school students.
- Willing to take vows of membership (Associate membership acceptable).
- Be able to pass a background check.
