Description
We are looking for a part-time assistant to support our daughter Tori with life/social skills at home and in the community engaging in activities that are meaningful to him. Tori is 22 years old. Tori has autism and LOVES meeting people, swimming and other fun activities. She has a lot of energy.
Tori is very independent (she can dress herself, toilet independently) but sll requires supervision for problem solving & discernment of strangers, etc.
You would need to have transportation. You would pick her up at school or our home in Maryland Heights and take her into the community. Of course, we would train you ahead of time and I keep in constant contact by cell phone/texting communication so you won't feel overwhelmed in any way.
Summer Hours Needed
· Tuesday May 28
· Thursday May 30
· Friday May 31
· Monday June 3, Tuesday June 4
· Week of June 17: Tuesday, Thursday & Friday (4pm to 8pm)
· Week of June 24: Tuesday, Thursday & Friday (4pm to 8pm)
· Week of July 15 & July 22: Tuesday, Thursday & Friday
Starting pay is $23/hour and goes up to $25/hour based on your level of expertise in working with kids with Autism.
Salary: Hourly
Requirements
Required:
- female companion
- must have your own vehicle & be willing to drive Tori to locations
- Looking for an organized companion who can take charge without being too structured
- Need to be willing to download an app on your phone to clock in & out & write summary notes
How to Apply
Minimum pay starts at $23/hour. You will be using a payroll service called Acumen through the Department of Mental Health as my daughter's personal care is funded by Missouri Dept. of Mental Health (the Autism side).
