Description
Rossman School is searching for an experienced Middle School Math Teacher to serve as a long-term substitute and assume homeroom responsibilities for the first semester of the 2024-25 academic year. The ideal candidate will be paired with another teacher to form the homeroom team.

Requirements
Working collaboratively, the homeroom team jointly plans and teaches the mathematics and language arts curriculum, designing and assessing an effective and challenging program for talented students. The mathematics curriculum is based on a two-tiered system of teacher-led Everyday Mathematics and an independent program using Transition Mathematics (both from the Chicago Math Project). The math teacher will support the language arts curriculum, including the study of multiple novels, an independent reading program, reading comprehension activities, and Wordly Wise vocabulary. This individual will also demonstrate a dedication to honesty, kindness, respect, and responsibility – the pillars of Rossman’s character program – in his/her interactions with children and adults.
