Cornerstone Music Director Position
Cornerstone is a Gospel and Word-Centered church seeking a music director to unite our ethnically and generationally diverse community together in worship. We believe a person with skills in directing all kinds of music and musical groups (choral, traditional, and contemporary) can help our worship be a means of uniting our neighbors.
Part-Time Description
1. Administrative Tasks
a. Recruiting, scheduling, and communicating with volunteers (~1hr)
b. Assembling the worship slides for that week (~1-2hr)
c. Bringing music recommendations (postludes, preludes, hymns, praise songs, etc.) to the pastoral staff meeting (~1-2hr)
2. Leadership Tasks
a. Leading the praise team rehearsals (prep and 1-2hr practice = ~3hrs)
b. Leading the choir rehearsals (prep and 1hr practice = ~3hrs)
3. Worship Tasks
a. This will vary weekly and is done in coordination with the pastoral staff leading worship.
Compensation
1. $25,000 annual salary in bi-monthly deposits
2. A music budget for assisting the growth of the music ministry
3. An office
4. Cornerstone’s large facility for hosting private lessons, events, public concerts, and anything else that would advance music education and worship in our community.
*Membership in the PCA requires affirming 1) you are a sinner in need of a Savior, 2) you are resting on Jesus as Savior, 3) that you are committed to following Him as King, 4) that you want to follow Him =here with our particular church 5) that you desire the spiritual oversight of the elders in your life.

Requirements
Spiritual Requirements
- Must love the Lord and his bride (the Church) and the lost
- Must be willing and able to join Cornerstone church as a member*
- Must be humble, able to receive direction, correction, feedback from others (pastoral staff and/or volunteers)
Professional Requirements
- Must have an aptitude with music and desire excellence in those they lead
- Must be able to teach, guide, direct, correct both vocalists and instrumentalists
- Must be able to lead/coach both choral groups and praise/worship bands
- Must be willing to embrace our philosophy of corporate worship (Biblically faithful lyrics, congregationally sing-able tunes, the best of what’s new and what’s old)
- Previous experience not-required but heavily considered
