This is a part time position of between 20 and 24 hours per week is offered by the Reformed Dutch Church congregation.

The historic Reformed Church of Claverack, built in 1767, is nestled in the Hamlet of Claverack between the Berkshire Mountains and the Hudson River in Columbia County, New York. The cities of Hudson (10 minutes), Albany (30 minutes), Manhattan (2 hours away), and Boston (3 hours away) are hubs of art, culture, and history. The nearby Catskill, Berkshire, and Adirondack Mountains offer four seasons of outdoor activities. Our congregation is spiritual, friendly, involved and supportive. We are prayerfully searching for a pastor who is passionate about sharing and preaching God’s word; who is committed to spiritual growth and intergenerational education; and who has a desire to be involved in the life of our church and community. The qualified candidate for this part time position will be an ordained pastor, or eligible for ordination in either RCA, or one of our denominational partners. We offer a benefit and expense package that can be negotiated; with a parsonage or with a housing allowance. Teaching and preaching about the love of Jesus through Bible based sermons, and study classes.

Personal initiative for community outreach and evangelism.

Christian Education for all ages.

The pastor's personal strengths could be but not limited to:

Inspires leadership; equips others to lead and follow.

Passionate about Christian Education of young families and young people.

Has a sense of humor, is positive, and likes to have fun.
