Supervises: Café Baristas and Café Operations

Hours: 10-20hrs/week

Job Summary:

Oversees daily operation on the café and supports baristas during their shift. Handles the bookkeeping and invoice side of the café, as well as coordinate on-campus catering needs

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Recruit, train, and schedule student workers for barista shift work. Manage their hours and communication.
•  If desired, Work shifts in the café as a part of the normal schedule
• As needed filling in for baristas who cannot make their scheduled shift
• Place all orders with our various vendors, pay invoices, and pick up items as needed (Sam’s club) for sale at the Café. Campus vehicle is available for use for off campus travel pending driver approval.
• Advertise on campus for specials and items (print and digital media)
• Coordinate with maintenance staff and specialists for physical upkeep of the space and equipment.
• Conduct on-campus catering in conjunction with Student Life, Academics, and Special Events (eg. Harrington lectures, Schaeffer Institute) for serving coffee for on-campus events and meetings.
• Manage all inventory and cash flow through Square, and coordinate a weekly deposit of cash with the business office
