Responsibilities

• Perform several patrols of the Covenant Theological Seminary campus during scheduled shift. 
• Patrols to walk through campus checking for threats to public safety and become familiar with students and staff. Patrols cover Public and Residential areas on campus and adjacent North 40 Road properties. A campus vehicle is provided.
• Perform Morning and Evening Rounds during scheduled shift
• Rounds involve unlocking and locking designated buildings each weekday starting at 7:00 am and on Weekends when campus is open at 8:00am until close which could be as late as 10:00pm.
• While patrolling parking lots: ensure vehicles are properly parked, note parking and sidewalk lights are working, look for vehicles that are out of place and give indication of a possible security concern.
• On-Call Duties, he or she will be expected to remain on campus and be immediately available by cell phone. The exception to this is that Security Officer I will be allowed to leave campus as long as he or she can respond in person to any point on campus within fifteen minutes of a phone call.
• While on duty he or she will be authorized to call on the Creve Coeur Police Department to question or for the arrest of trespassers or persons involved in criminal activities. 
• They will give access to local emergency responders during campus emergencies.
• They will also be able to issue traffic tickets and warnings as necessary to safeguard the campus community and to ensure orderly use of campus parking lots and access roads.
