The Department of Admissions at Covenant Seminary is seeking applications for the position of Admissions Recruiter. This is a full-time position with full Seminary benefits. Salary for the Admissions Recruiter is commensurate with experience.


Department Goals and Responsibilities

The Admissions Recruiter manages Covenant Theological Seminary’s efforts to engage and recruit with prospective students. The Recruiter provides expertise in the  development, implementation, and evaluation of new student recruitment initiatives. In addition, the Recruiter organizes, plans, and directs both on-campus and off-campus recruitment events and activities, including but not limited to Preview Days, campus visits, and conferences. The Recruiter will report to the Vice President of Enrollment. The Recruiter will be part of the Enrollment Committee to guide the development of recruitment communication plans and efforts to help meet enrollment goals. In addition, the Recruiter will work closely with the Director of Admissions to support prospective students who enter the admissions cycle.


Position Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for the recruitment of prospective students and meeting enrollment goals.
  • Works with the Admission Team to ensure that all applicants are handled appropriately, efficiently, and timely throughout the admission cycle.
  • Responsible for recruitment travel strategy, budgeting, training, assignments, follow up, and other data points related to travel.
  • Participates in the organization, planning, and execution of on- and off-campus recruitment events for prospective students, in coordination with the Vice President of Enrollment and Director of Admissions.
  • Is responsible for the planning, preparation, and execution of Preview Days and Campus Visits by prospective students.
  • Works to assist the Admissions Department with interviews and other duties when assigned during certain seasons.
  • Collaborates with the Vice President of Enrollment and Director of Admissions to evaluate and encourage best practices in recruitment and admissions.
  • Works with the Vice President of Enrollment and Director of Admissions to identify market trends and develops recruitment strategies.
  • Participates in planning, development, and management of department budget.
  • Manages collaboration with internal and external teams to create communications for prospective students and admitted students.
  • Organize, plan, and execute off-campus domestic recruitment events, including but not limited to conferences and college ministry visits.
  • Organize, plan, and execute online recruitment events, including but not limited to  information sessions and preview days.
  • Organize, plan, and execute enrollment marketing campaigns and advertisements in conjunction with the Department of Communications.
  • Works with Director of Admissions to identify any barriers (i.e. scholarship, financial, logistical, etc.) that a student is experiencing and works to find solutions.
  • Works to create enrollment marketing posts on social media and through other means under the guidance of the Director of Communications and Marketing.
  • Must be willing to travel domestically.

  • Faithfulness and dependability.
  • Has strong computer skills and is able to learn to use Slate CRM and Office 365 products.
  • Has strong character, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Possesses theological awareness.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous sales or marketing experience.
  • Alumnus of Covenant Theological Seminary.
