Join our ECC as a teacher assistant or substitute teacher! St. Paul's Early Childhood Center in Des Peres is seeking loving, compassionate, and responsible adults who would enjoy teaching the youngest of God's children. Come work with a staff who loves Jesus, children, and has a joy for sharing the Good News!

Responsibilities:

Professional Duties:

• Embrace the mission, purpose, and philosophy of the St. Paul’s ECC.
• Follow the rules and procedures of the school, especially specific teacher classroom procedures, playground and Community Center procedures.
• Provide the children with a variety of activities that engage them each afternoon (i.e., read stories, blocks, games, puzzles, etc.)
• Supervise the children at all times.
• Inform the Director of any needs or concerns.
• Maintain positive, open relationships with families.
• Work professionally with other co-workers at St. Paul’s ECC
• Comply with policies as stated in the Staff Handbook of the ECC.

Child-Care/Student Safety:

• Maintain a safe and healthy environment.
• Be aware of all procedures and policies, according to the Crisis Manual.
• Report any facility or health concern to ECC Director immediately.
• Understand and adhere to program’s security plan.
• Document any accidents and illnesses using appropriate forms.
