Overview
- Full-time with benefits
- Assistant Pastor or Director
- Oversight of ministry to families; specific programmatic focus on middle school and high school students
- For Assistant Pastor position, additional general pastoral duties (shepherding, teaching, prayer)
Youth and Family Ministry
- Provide oversight of ministry to families, in coordination with Director of Children’s Ministry and under the direction of the Senior Pastor and Session
- Develop and implement a vision for discipleship of children from birth through young adulthood
- Provide primary leadership of ministry to middle school and high school students: develop vision, programming, and curriculum; lead team of staff and interns; recruit and train volunteers; teach regularly; disciple students; plan and lead retreats and service/missions opportunities
- Engage and equip parents; partner with parents in ministry to their children
- Lead our entire congregation in a vision to fulfill their baptismal vows to support parents in the Christian nurture of their covenant children
Pastoral Care
- Care, counseling, discipleship, and visitation in coordination with other pastors, with special emphasis on families
- Outreach and evangelism to community
- Consistent prayer, individually and as staff
Preaching, Teaching, and Worship (for Assistant Pastor position)
- Preach and administer sacraments as needed at Sunday morning worship and at occasional Sunday evening services
- Preach occasionally at Wednesday evening young adult ministry (the “Hub”)
- In addition to regular teaching to youth, teach adults occasionally in Christian Education and other settings
General
- Meet regularly with pastors and directors as member of senior leadership team
- Attend and participate in session meetings (Assistant Pastor)
Serve on additional committees, as needed

Requirements
Qualifications
- Character and gifting requisite for the office of elder, as described in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, and 1 Peter 5:1-4
- Joyful commitment to Reformed theology, as summarized in the Westminster Standards
- For Assistant Pastor position: seminary degree (M.Div. or equivalent); ordained (or ordainable) as a Teaching Elder in the Presbyterian Church in America
- For Director position: some seminary training preferred, with possibility of ongoing part-time education while serving in this role
