Christ the King Presbyterian Church
El Paso, TX
WHO WE ARE
The City of El Paso
El Paso, Texas, is a vibrant, multicultural city located on the U.S.-Mexico border, offering a unique blend of Southwestern charm and rich cultural heritage. Known for its warm climate and warm sense of community, El Paso is consistently ranked among the safest large cities in the U.S. El Paso’s diverse population and proximity to Mexico provide a rich cultural experience.
Christ the King Presbyterian Church
In 1999, Christ the King was the first PCA church planted out of the Southwest Church Planting Network and became the first PCA church in El Paso. Since the beginning, CTK has been a gospel-centered church, seeking to bear witness to the kingdom of Jesus Christ in this beautiful city. CTK has a diverse group of people who attend worship and small groups weekly. Within a city that speaks Spanish primarily, many of our congregants have roots in the Hispanic culture. We are a growing church that is looking to continue to grow in its ability to reach people with the good news of the gospel.
NEXT GENERATION PASTOR
Principal Function
The NextGen Pastor will be responsible for shepherding, teaching, and directing children and students, from birth through high school and young adults with the good news of Jesus Christ. Alongside this, he will work with the staff in the regular pastoral duties of the church. He is a self-starter, who has a vision and knows how to share that vision with other leaders and get them excited and eager to carry it out. He shows genuine love for the next generation and a passion to see them grow and be transformed by the gospel. The NextGen Pastor will also shepherd and teach the parents of the congregation in areas of parenting and discipleship of their children. It is also vital to cultivate and nurture the spiritual care of one’s own character, life, and family (cf. 1 Tim. 3:1-7).
