Description
The Campus Minister provides spiritual leadership and formative opportunities to the students on the campus of Missouri Baptist University. The minister serves in the Office of Spiritual Life, seeking to promote an environment conducive to spiritual growth and maturity. The minister executes and provides leadership and support for spiritual life programming (including but not limited to chapel, discipleship, and service/missions projects).
Primary Duties
- Develop and implement a comprehensive discipleship strategy tailored to Main Campus students, nurturing their spiritual growth and formation.
- Collaborate with supervisor in designing, developing, and implementing a weekly chapel program.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive service and missions strategy tailored to Main Campus students, nurturing their spiritual growth and formation.
- Assist with operational and administrative functions of the Office of Spiritual Life (budgets, reports, invoices, etc.)
- Promote and foster healthy relationships with ministry partners and local churches,
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Salary: $30K-$59K
Requirements
Minimum Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Christian ministry or related field
- 2 – 3 years of experience in collegiate ministry or discipleship-related ministry
- Statement of faith which clearly articulates your view of scripture, salvation, and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Membership and active participation in a local church, as well as a commitment to teach and perform duties consistent with and not contrary to the University’s statement of faith (Baptist Faith & Message, 2000).
- The candidate must be willing to be a member of a church cooperating with the Missouri Baptist Convention.
Preferred Education/Experience
- Master of Divinity degree
- 3 – 5 years of experience in collegiate ministry or discipleship-related ministry
