Our youth ministry is integral to our mission, providing a space for young people to explore their faith, build relationships, and develop as leaders.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Church Youth Ministry Director to lead and expand our youth ministry programs. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to creating an engaging, inclusive, and spiritually enriching environment for our youth, and will possess strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Development and Leadership:
● Design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive youth ministry program that includes weekly meetings, Bible studies, worship, and social activities.
● Develop and execute a strategic plan for the growth and development of the youth ministry.
● Coordinate and lead retreats, mission trips, and service projects that align with the church’s mission and values.
2. Team Management:
● Recruit, train, and support volunteer leaders and youth mentors.
● Organize and lead regular meetings with volunteer leaders to ensure effective collaboration and program implementation.
● Foster a positive and collaborative team environment among staff and volunteers.
3. Pastoral Care and Mentoring:
● Build strong, supportive relationships with youth members, providing pastoral care and guidance.
● Offer support to youth and their families as needed.
● Create opportunities for youth to engage in spiritual formation and leadership development.
4. Administrative Responsibilities:
● Manage the youth ministry budget and ensure effective use of resources.
● Maintain accurate records of attendance, participation, and other relevant metrics.
● Develop and distribute communication materials.
5. Community Engagement:
● Foster relationships with community organizations and other churches to enhance the youth ministry’s impact.
● Encourage and facilitate involvement of youth in broader church activities and community outreach
● Engage in contact work to connect with youth in the wild.6. Evaluation and Improvement:
● Regularly assess the effectiveness of youth ministry programs and make recommendations for improvements.
● Gather feedback from youth, parents, and volunteers to ensure the ministry meets the needs and expectations of the community.

Requirements
Qualifications:
● A demonstrated commitment to the Christian faith and the mission of Red Mountain Church.
● Bachelor’s degree in theology, youth ministry, education, or a related field.
● Proven experience in youth ministry or related leadership roles.
● Strong understanding of youth development and effective program management.
● Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
● Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
Additional Requirements:
● Background check and child protection training required.
● Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for events and meetings.
