Pastor of Church Planting:  Park Cities Presbyterian Church has played a vital role in the area of church planting over the past 25 years. The Pastor of Church Planting will be tasked with continuing to champion this cause at PCPC while charting a course for the future with Church Planting Residents. The Pastor of Church Planting, in coordination with other aspects of PCPC’s Missions efforts, will seek to develop individuals for the work of church planting, develop the church planting that is done within PCPC’s current church planting networks (Southwest Church Planting Network, North Texas Presbytery, Mission to North America, etc.) with great stewardship and faithfulness, and lead us into healthy church planting as we trust God to plant churches out of PCPC. Key job responsibilities will include working with the Southwest Church Planting Network (SWCPN) and developing a PCPC Church Planting Residency. This job will also include some traveling and working with MNA Committees from other Presbyteries and helping them with their church planting efforts (i.e., recruiting, developing leaders, coaching, raising funds, and administering the process.) Must be able to provide vision and biblical leadership. Ability to effectively coach, communicate well, and inspire others will be essential to successful ministry. Must possess experience in managing and coordinating ministry goals, teams, budgets, and resources. This is a regular, benefit eligible, full-time (40 hours a week), exempt position (not eligible for overtime).

Requirements


Fifteen years of ministry experience in teaching and training others in the area of church planting is essential. Seminary degree required. Ordination in the PCA preferred. Knowledge of a vast array of ministry experiences internationally and domestically. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Should possess a shepherd’s heart with a passion for church planting.
