Briarwood Presbyterian Church is seeking to hire a Shepherding Pastor for our Senior Adult Ministry. He will provide shepherding leadership with a team to shepherd our Church. He will shepherd around six Congregational Communities (500-600 people); serve as a Community Pastor in several Congregational Communities; lead Community Pastors; and work closely with lay shepherds. He will lead our Trailblazer Ministry alongside a ministry assistant. He will invest his time in the spiritual growth of members, assure pastoral care needs are met, facilitate member involvement, and the assimilation of new members. The person who would be most effective in this position would have an intrinsic love for people, have strong people skills, and is approachable. He should have experience shepherding with a Church, strong leadership skills and have experience in leading volunteers. He will also be responsible for other Church ministry responsibilities as fits his gifting and the needs of the Church. He would either be ordained or ordainable in the PCA, with a commitment to Reformed theology and Presbyterian doctrine.
