Context:
Grace is an intergenerational church in a 400,000-person metropolitan area with a growing population in the church and community of single and married young adults. Our desire is to make grace-inspired, multiplying disciples who will live out and share the gospel in every sphere of life—church, family, friends, school, work, and recreation.
Focus:
Reach, lead, and shepherd single and married young adults (approximate age of 22-35) and their friends and associates in the church and community.
Key Goals and Objectives:
· Provide vision, oversight, and development for post-college-age young adult ministry.
· Serve as adult ministry liaison to Campus Outreach college ministry.
· Implement relational ministry programs to reach and disciple young adults in the church and community.
· Serve the broader church through general pastoral ministry, including overseeing an intergenerational shepherding community.
Key Job Responsibilities:
I. Personal Development
· Be a man who is growing spiritually through the means of grace of the Word, sacraments, and prayer.
· Be a man who is growing in meeting the qualifications of an elder described in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
II. Program Oversight
· Foster an atmosphere that is conducive to building authentic gospel-centered community.
· Build bridges connecting young adults with other generations, helping infuse them into the church body.
· Develop excellent outreach and ministry to young adults.
· Shepherd and provide Sunday schools for young adults.
· Work with the Family Ministry Director to facilitate a smooth transition into the young adult ministry from the college-age years.
· Connect young adults from the local community into the Grace community.
· Create events, retreats, and programs to enhance the spiritual growth of young adults.
· Grow multiplying followers of Christ who will live for him through singleness, marriage, and parenthood in the church, school, workplace, and community.
· Provide premarital and other counseling to young adults
· Officiate weddings, baptize, and perform other pastoral duties for young adults.
III. Recruiting, Developing, and Leading Leaders
· Lead the young adult leadership team, small group leaders, and Sunday school leaders.
· Create and implement disciple-making and mentoring strategies so that young adults may benefit from the wisdom and experience of previous generations.
· Recruit, develop, and use the gifts of young leaders to accomplish the vision for young adult ministry.

Requirements
We are open to a man with pastoral experience or a new seminary graduate pursuing ordination.
