The Department of Admissions at Covenant Seminary is seeking applications for the position of Admissions Administrator. This is a Part-time position (25 hours/week) with vacation, paid time off, and seminary holidays. Department Goals and Responsibilities


The Admissions Administrator supports the work of the Admissions team in achieving its enrollment goals and serving its prospective students through proper execution of data entry and database management, effective communication with other relevant seminary departments, timely correspondence with prospective students through a variety of media, maintaining an orderly and hospitable office environment, and through a number of administrative duties.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Data entry and document processing within Covenant Seminary’s CRM (Slate) and student information system (CAMS) from inquiry through matriculation.
  • Communicating with potential admissions applicants and other constituents through incoming phone calls, the admissions email inbox, and Slate messaging.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure quality processing of applications.
  • Assisting the Communications team by processing online store orders and shipments.
  • Ordering and stocking of office supplies, books and marketing materials, and event supplies.
  • Welcoming and greeting visitors to the admissions office.
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly admissions office.
  • Receiving mail deliveries for the seminary and communicating with intended recipients to coordinate retrieval.
  • Serving the broader admissions team members in recording meeting minutes, mailing promotional materials, scheduling meetings, reserving meeting rooms and resources, planning and supporting team events and campus visits, maintaining expense reporting for ADM management, organizing travel and accommodation, and other administrative tasks assigned.

Minimum Qualifications/Skills: 

  • Exudes strong Christian character and high integrity.
  • Has earned an accredited bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and/or possesses equivalent work experience.
  • Possesses strong administrative skills and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exhibits a positive personality with strong relational skills.
  • Exhibits adaptability to changing processes.
  • Writes clearly and professionally.
  • Can manage time well and work independently with effectiveness.
  • Demonstrates high customer service skills with hospitality.
  • Shows personable responsibility and dependability.
  • Can maintain confidentiality and follow FERPA guidelines.
  • Possesses strong computer skills and can learn to use Slate CRM, CAMS SIS, and Office 365 products. 


Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

  • Alumnus, current student, or spouse of a Covenant Seminary student.
  • Has Previous experience in data entry or administrative roles, with preference for experience in higher education.
  • Has familiarity with Slate CRM, CAMS, Campus Café or other customer relations management and student information system platforms.


Other Functions:

  • Hospitality/Event support for occasional large group campus visits, Preview Days, or new student orientations.
  • Possible event support for welcome reception at beginning of fall/spring semesters.
