New Life Fellowship of Holland, MI, (in process of affiliating with the PCA) a small, intimate, intergenerational church, whose members fit together like family, is seeking a Pastor who can guide us in revitalizing our ministry. The ideal candidate will deliver bold, biblical messages focusing on expository preaching. He should have a shepherd’s heart for pastoral care, love people, and demonstrate a willingness to engage with, know, and be known by members of all ages.
Blessed with a rich history of solid biblical teaching and fellowship, New Life is ready to grow and serve our sphere of influence. We are dedicated to supporting our ministries and fostering a welcoming and supportive community where visitors can feel at home and members can grow in their faith and live out their calling and Christ’s love. Our sphere of influence is Holland, MI, a vibrant community with a rich history of faith, but like so much of America reflects modern secularism. Holland is a college town, with many opportunities for ministry. We have been blessed with a unique and strategic facility. Our mission is to “restore the World through Christ,” and as such, our goal is to reconcile people to God, and in so doing, to one another and the world. Requirements
It is essential that our next pastor is naturally inclined to shepherd the church flock, offering personal care, guidance and support to members of all ages, cultivating a culture of mutual support and encouragement within the congregation, and strengthening the sense of community. We recognize that we are a congregation in transition after the long ministry of our founding pastor has (amicably) come to a close. We are eager for the new leadership our next pastor will provide and open to the opportunities that God will bring our way. Our ideal candidate will:
- Be ordained/ordainable in the PCA.
- Be committed to gospel ministry both inside and outside the community of New Life Fellowship. We desire to grow in both discipleship and evangelism.
- Provide clear and inspiring teaching through expository biblical messages.
- Engage with children and show an active interest in their spiritual development, even though direct teaching is not the primary focus of the pastor.
- Equip mature believers with the resources that they need to deepen their faith and contribute meaningfully to the Great Commission.
- Courageously and compassionately enter into the mess of poor life choices with the flock and seek restoration and reconciliation when possible.
- Have a passion for the unchurched and dechurched in our community.
