Description
The Music-Worship Minister prepares and leads Christ-centered music and congregational singing for our worship services and other events.
We believe our entire Lord’s Day service from the Call to Worship to the Benediction is part of our worship.
The Music-Worship Minister helps to fulfil the aim of CCC by preparing, developing and leading the music
and congregational singing for our worship services. He will work under the direction and supervision of the
lead pastor.

Requirements
Qualifications
1. A vibrant, prayerful, personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, characterized by
personal integrity and transparency.
2. A lifestyle of spiritual maturity and consistent growth that supports the work and worship of
the church through active involvement in congregational life, including weekend worship,
discipleship and service.
3. Agreement with the church’s theological position and philosophy of education (see
https://www.cccdaytona.org/whatwebelieve), and a willingness to become a member of
CCC.
4. An attitude of humble servant-heartedness, a commitment to learn, and a willingness to
“stretch” and take on challenges to meet the needs of the church and develop in ministry.
5. Familiarity with and appreciation for both contemporary music and classic hymns. The
ability to lead the congregation in a primarily modern style that also incorporates the best of
the rich tradition of music in the church.
6. Musically and theologically discerning.
7. A desire to help foster a culture of communal, congregational singing (Ephesians 5:19), rather
than a “performer/spectator” model of worship.
8. Ability to sing and accompany oneself, primarily on guitar and possibly the keyboard.
9. Ability to direct and develop other musicians on a music team.
10. Ability to work well with others.
11. Familiarity or willingness to learn the software and apps used to coordinate, schedule and
communicate with volunteers (eg Planning Center) and any audio/visual technology related
to the position.
Education and Experience
The successful candidate should bring at least two years of ministry experience in music and be able to
describe the fruit of this ministry with references.
How to Apply
Time Commitment
This is a full-time exempt salaried position with a usual expectation of approximately 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
1. General
• Responsible participation in the life of the church.
• Work under the direction of the Lead Pastor.

2. Music
• Provide music leadership, including choosing songs, recruiting the team, leading rehearsals,
etc.
• Work with others to share and receive insight on enriching and sustaining the worship at
CCC.
• Coordinate and schedule other staff and volunteer music leaders to share music leadership
responsibilities and ensure that music leadership is prepared and in place for each weekend
service. Oversee the schedule and arrange a protocol for changes.
• Recruit and audition musicians and vocalists.
• Work to establish connection within in the worship, sound and tech ministries through
scheduled gatherings, rehearsals and discipleship opportunities.
• Work with staff to arrange music and tech for Special Services: Easter Sunrise, Good Friday,
Christmas Eve, Prayer and Praise Evenings etc.
3. Tech
• Coordinate and schedule sound and tech volunteers.
• Work alongside the Audio Production Service Lead.
• Coordinate sound and tech requirements for the Race Day Picnic.
• Recruit volunteers, and facilitate interviews and onboarding for sound/tech volunteers.
• Work with sound/tech part-time staff to troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Recruit as necessary for weddings, memorials or special events.
4. Continuing Education
• Willingness to read assigned books or articles, meet with the supervising pastor and, at his
direction, other pastoral staff for mentoring and discipleship.
• Willingness to attend occasional training seminars, suggested and/or approved by the lead
pastor.
5. Administrative Relationships
• Serve under the direction and authority of the lead pastor unless otherwise assigned.
• Work with the administrative support staff.
• Engage and work together with the members of the pastoral team.
Remuneration
Commensurate with education and experience.
