Position Summary:
Covenant seeks a dynamic, biblically grounded woman to lead women’s ministry full time for this present and future generation. As a peer to the Adult Ministry Pastor (who leads men’s ministry), she will work in close collaboration with him to build up the ministry of all adults at Covenant. Reporting into the head pastor, she will represent women as an engaged member of the executive leadership team and to the elder board.
The Women’s Ministry Director will provide leadership, vision and direction for the spiritual thriving of women in the context of women’s groups and women’s events / programs. She will earnestly develop and nurture leaders present and future, modeling and teaching others to do the same. She will care deeply for their mutual growth in Christ. She will challenge women to love their neighbors, bringing them closer to Jesus. She will have an active and evident faith in Jesus Christ and be deeply committed to Covenant’s mission, vision, values, and theological convictions.
Position Objectives:
The primary objective of this role is to bring women at Covenant and near Covenant closer to Jesus. She will:
- Provide teaching, connection, relational, and intentional spiritual growth opportunities for all ages and life stages of adult women.
- Create a community of women leaders by developing and strengthening women’s discipleship training with focus on spiritual formation, sound biblical teaching, and authentic life-together transformation.
- Shepherd all women’s community groups, facilitating discipleship and equipping women for ministry.
- Lead select groups with the goal of coaching, developing and empowering new leaders to take on leadership roles.
- Coordinate the effective connection of women to appropriate groups with the goal of fostering relationships among women of all ages
- Collaborate with staff to align all women’s initiatives with the vision and values of the church. Likewise, she will work with church leaders to give bi-directional input into the evolving vision and mission, and core teaching.
- Publicly moderate announcements, prayer and promote events once a month in the congregation.
- Provide organization and evaluation to ensure biblically grounded content is used by women's ministry groups.
- Create and lead a small leadership team/women’s council to shepherd women and provide guidance to the executive leadership team and elders.
- Gather, distill and share wisdom with the executive leadership team (weekly) and our elder board (monthly).
- Contribute to church-wide planning in budgeting, and special initiatives.
- Develop a broad network of resources for women’s ministry through the Liberti network, PCA, and local churches.

Qualifications & Competencies
- Aligned with Covenant’s theological vision: historically orthodox, missional, theological Reformed, sacramental, Spirit empowered, complementarian, gender redeeming, connectional.
- Compatible with our affiliations with the Liberti Communion of Churches www.liberti.org and the Presbyterian Church of America https://pcanet.org.
- Familiar with and largely agrees with the Westminster Standard of Faith.
- Member or intends to pursue membership at Covenant Church.
- Teaches with relevance and a focus on connection and transformation.
- Casts and clearly communicates vision for all groups, regardless of size.
- Proven experience leading, discipling, equipping and blessings women, ability to speak truth in love in difficult conversations.
- Identifies gifts in others and encourages their use.
- Desires and facilitates collaboration.
- Possesses a sense of personal security in Christ that manifests as maturity, trustworthiness, humility, and passion.
- Technologically competent in Microsoft products, able to learn new systems as needed.
- Minimum Bachelor’s education; ministry related coursework and/or seminary education strongly preferred.
- Professional experience leading teams is a plus.
This position is on location, full time salaried, exempt. Covenant Church offers a competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience.
