Accounting and Budget Analyst
Covenant Seminary seeks a full-time Accounting and Budget Analyst who will be responsible for accounts payable processing and to assist the Business Office with accounts receivable, closing entries, and creating accurate and timely financial records for the Seminary. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week exempt position with benefits.
Position Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable weekly, posting recurring payments, obtaining W-9s, and submitting bi-weekly HSA payouts. Administrate for USPS and AT&T accounts.
- Backup for daily accounts receivable processing including setting up deferred student payment plans, handling student requests, and processing business office receipts of payments.
- Request and post incoming GSL funds in coordination with the Financial Aid department.
- Assist in monthly closing including integration of student management system and payroll data, year-end, and the annual audit.
- Count, reconcile, and deposit cash weekly or monthly for several departments.
- Track Fixed Assets monthly and annually.
- Validate driver screenings annually.
- Process and prepare accounting records monthly, including financial statements and other financial reports.
- Establish records of daily transactions and input journal entries into their proper accounts.
- Document and ensure proper keeping of financial records for job responsibilities, making use of current technologies.
- Prepare forms, manuals, and process documentation for accounting and bookkeeping personnel
- Prepare any required government reporting documents (1099s, 1098s, etc.)

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred or equivalent number of years of bookkeeping/accounting experience.
Experience:

This job operates in an office setting with standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
