How to Apply

Seminary Intern Testimonial

During my time at Covenant seminary I served as the youth intern for 3 years at Concord Presbyterian Church. My time at Concord was extremely valuable to my seminary experience. I was able to get experience as a youth director, which included two teaching opportunities per week. I also got loads of experience leading the liturgy on Sunday mornings. By the end of my internship I was leading weekly. I was also able to get a significant amount of preaching reps. Beyond all the opportunities to test my gifting that serving at Concord provided, the congregants of Concord have a long history of supporting and encouraging seminary interns. Even though my wife and I were a long way from family during seminary, the church came along and loved, cared, and helped us in our needs as the body of Christ. Though Concord may be a longer drive than other churches in the St. Louis area, I doubt there are many places where you will get as much frontline experience as at Concord. It is a place where you can grow and learn how God has gifted you. It is also a place where you will certainly not go unnoticed but will be embraced by the congregation as you learn and grow in how God has gifted you.
