Job Title: Youth Ministry Intern (Part-Time)


St. Louis Chinese Baptist Church is seeking a committed, Spirit-filled Christian leader with a passion for discipling youth through the gospel of Jesus Christ. The ideal candidate will be able to relate well to youth, parents, and adult volunteers. A theological education is required to lead and equip youth to grow in their faith in Christ.


Responsibilities

• Support the Church Pastor in overseeing and providing pastoral care to nurture the spiritual growth of the youth.

• Lead weekly youth Sunday worship, youth Sunday school, and monthly Saturday youth fellowship.

• Organize and oversee one annual summer camp for the church’s youth.


Accountability

• Reports to the Church Pastor and the Head of the Education Department.

• Submit a monthly ministry report to the Church Pastor and Head of the Education Department

• Attend Church Council meetings as requested.

• A born-again Christian who demonstrates integrity and is dedicated to youth ministry.

• Lives a lifestyle aligned with biblical principles, committed to prayer, and passionate about discipling youth with sound biblical knowledge and faith in Jesus Christ.

• Develop a Bible teaching curriculum that reflects the full counsel of God’s Word and addresses the spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental needs of the youth.

• Teach the Bible with conviction, compassion, and care.

• Provide monthly updates to the Church Pastor and Head of the Education Department on the progress of the youth ministry.

• Attend Church Council meetings if involvement in youth ministry matters is required.

Salary: $0-$29K

Requirements


• A lifestyle consistent with the biblical qualifications for leaders (1 Timothy 3:1–13; 2 Timothy 2; Titus 1:5–9).

• Understanding of and commitment to the church’s doctrinal beliefs and mission.

• Willingness to uphold and serve in accordance with the Church Constitution.

• Experience in youth ministry and pastoral care is preferred.

• Willingness and ability to minister to people of diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

• Must pass a background check and have legal working status in accordance with labor regulations.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Exemplary Christian faith and character.
