Part-Time Children’s Ministry Director

Revelation Church STL | West County, St. Louis

The Vision

Revelation Church is a new, Bible-based, Spirit-filled church plant. we are looking for a leader to build a "Kids Culture" from the ground up—a space where children encounter the Holy Spirit, grow in the Word, and families are equipped to lead.

The Role (10 Hours/Week)

• Compensation: $18–$25 / hour (Based on experience)
• Sundays (4 Hours): On-site leadership for Sunday morning (Setup, Service, Takedown).
• Weekly (6 Hours): Flexible hours for curriculum prep, volunteer recruitment, and administration.

Purpose

To grow the hearts of our children through loving engagement, increasing their understanding of Scripture, helping them see their lives through the Gospel and equipping families in the raising of their children. To promote a heart for kids ministry in the church by developing and training volunteers to serve passionately.

Core Responsibilities

• Sunday Leadership: Serve most Sundays in the children's department—rotating through classroom roles to train and work alongside volunteers.
• Team Building: Recruit, train, and mentor volunteers. Provide regular meetings for encouragement and spiritual growth of the team.
• Ministry Logistics: Manage curriculum preparation, purchasing of supplies, and maintenance of children’s ministry equipment.
• Environment: Oversee the weekly set up/cleanup of Children's areas to ensure excellence and safety.
• Connection: Communicate regularly with parents and plan special children's events.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Character: Demonstrates evidence of a Christ-like attitude; loves children and shows patience in all situations.
• Calling: A burning desire to share the life of Jesus with children and see them grow in Christian faith.
• Skills: Outgoing, self-starting, and able to work independently to build new systems.
• Alignment: Committed to the vision, mission, and beliefs of Revelation Church.
• Experience: 1–3 years of children's ministry experience is desired.
