Associate Pastor - Youth and Children
Hope Church is seeking a full time Associate Pastor to join our ministry team. This position will be responsible for leading various ministries at Hope Church, under the guidance of the Senior Pastor. These ministries include Children’s ministry (Birth- 5th Grade), Middle School Ministry (6th - 8th Grade), and High School Ministry (9th - 12th grade). This position will also include some administrative duties.

Hope Church is a non-denominational church committed to being a community founded on the Word of God, where people at any point in their spiritual journey are welcomed and taught the truth about God. Hope Church seeks to fulfill the great commission to make disciples of all nations, and has a strong history of supporting missions work, both domestically and internationally. As the Associate Pastor you will play an important role in the work that God is doing through Hope Church.

A Day in the Life
The day to day time of the Associate Pastor will be spent between 4 main areas:
- Oversee Children’s Ministry
- Coordinate the existing volunteers and/or lead Sunday Morning and midweek evening Ministries.
- Oversee annual Children’s overnight retreat and overnight camp
- Oversee VBS and community outreach events
- Oversee Youth Ministry
- Coordinate the existing volunteers and/or lead Sunday Morning and midweek evening Ministries.
- Plan and lead regular activities for students outside of typical Sunday or midweek ministry (~1 per month)
- Plan and lead annual youth summer camp and mission trip (Mission trips typical vary between St. Louis, domestic, and international)
- Build relationships and build into the lives of the students.
- Seek opportunities to connect with youth outside of a church context
- Administrative responsibilities
- Coordinate and develop existing children’s and youth volunteer staff and recruit additional volunteers as necessary
- Select and Maintain Curriculum for children and youth
- Connect with and support parents on a regular basis providing, support materials and resources
- Maintain Child Protection Policy and review annually
- Office responsibilities, such as maintaining regular Monday - Thursday office hours, use of Planning Center software, and assisting other office staff with their responsibilities, when able.
- Additional Pastoral Responsibilities
- Report to the elders under the mentorship of the Senior Pastor
- Attend regular staff and church meetings
- Encourage children and youth involvement in other church functions
- Preach on Sunday morning several times per year as needed
- Professional development consistent with the job responsibilities through outside conferences and formal education
- Other duties as appropriate to shepherd the church
Benefits
Hope Church offers a competitive salary, Paid Vacation, Sick Leave, and Holidays. A housing allowance is also available. Health Insurance is not currently offered with this position.
Salary: $60K-$89K

Qualifications
Hope Church’s desire is for the successful candidate to have a passion for the local church and a calling to ministry. The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications
- An affirmed calling to ministry
- Hold an undergraduate degree or better from a Bible School or Seminary
- Affirm Hope Church’s statement of faith (https://www.hope-church.com/about-us/core-beliefs)
- Demonstrate 5 or more years of ministry experience
