Description
Seven Rivers Church is seeking an Assistant Pastor who aligns with our mission and values. This pastor will work with the Pastor of Discipleship and the Adult Ministry Team. He will be responsible for adult education classes, men’s events, special conferences, oversight of senior adult ministry, general pastoral duties, and some preaching. Seven Rivers Church is located in Citrus County, Florida and has 1,500 members and a weekend attendance ranging from 900-1,300 depending on the time of year. Seven Rivers Christian School is a ministry of the church and serves 700 students prek-12th grade.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Master of Divinity from a qualified Seminary
• Ordained/ordainable in the PCA
• 5+ years pastoral experience

How to Apply
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
• Works with the Pastor of Discipleship to devise and execute strategies to help people get connected and grow spiritually
• Lead 5-6 week-long Bible and theology classes for adults on Wednesday nights, 3-4x per year.
• Plan and execute men’s events to foster greater relational connection and spiritual growth
• Plan and execute church-wide conferences that address marriage, parenting, finances, faith & work, evangelism, etc.
• Oversee team of volunteers who plan Senior Adult Ministry
• Share the workload of general pastoral duties: shepherding, counseling, weddings, funerals, crises
• Preach (occasionally at first, but potential to increase with time and giftedness)
• Take on special project as assigned
• Attend staff meetings and participate in staff outings and events
