Description
The Student Life Department of Covenant Theological Seminary seeks a part-time (20 hours per week) Office Coordinator. This position offers a high level of administrative support and event coordination to the Dean and Associate Dean of Students in the performance of their duties.
Responsibilities include:
- Acting as primary administrator for the Student Life Department, including:
- Coordinating the internal operations of the Student Life Department
- Primary contact for incoming requests from Covenant Seminary Staff and Students.
- Primary contact for incoming requests from agencies outside of Covenant Seminary.
- Assist Student Organizations with event logistics, meeting spaces, and financial operations
- Coordination of tasks for Student Life Events, New Student Orientations, Graduation Celebration, Hybrid Weeks, Annual Church Fair, and Ministry Lunches.
- Complete preparation for weekly meetings, group meetings, and conference calls,
- Other daily tasks and clerical needs for the Student Life Section
- Recorder of minutes during Student Life Section Meetings
- Provide administrative support for the Student Life Department
- Capacity to learn and work with the Seminary's internal data systems and a range of departmental and interdepartmental procedures
- Offering administrative support to the following areas:
- Log Cabin Childcare
- Chapel
- International Students
- Online Student Care
Salary: Hourly
Requirements
- The successful candidate must provide a high degree of organizational skills, initiative, flexibility, and ability to prioritize projects, balancing both short-term and long-term projects assigned.
- This position requires the ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a gracious and winsome manner.
- The candidate must exhibit strong administrative skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, and exhibit poise in serving in a variety of situations.
