Description
The Youth Director is chiefly responsible for overseeing the Middle School and High School students of SLPC, encouraging them to live out their Christian faith in every area of life. SLPC has an existing youth program, but seeks someone with the creativity, capability, and capacity to develop programs and strategies that will be even more effective in discipling and evangelizing the youth in our church and in our community. The Youth Director will work in close collaboration with the Associate Pastor, church leaders, and key parents of our youth.

Requirements
Education and/or Experience
· A dedicated follower of Jesus Christ with a clear call to vocational ministry
· A minimum of two years of related experience in shepherding and discipleship of youth
· A college undergraduate degree or above
· Experience training volunteers for shepherding ministry
Skills and Attributes
· Able to teach with a shepherd's heart
· Effective verbal and written communicator, adept with multiple forms of electronic communication
· Highly relational, able to connect with a wide variety of students and adults
· Gifted in evangelism
· Demonstrates the ability to equip leaders for the work of the ministry
· Evident Fruit of the Spirit, teachable and humble
· Good listener and a respectfully honest contributor to discussion
· Gifted and capable, both pastorally and administratively
· Understands and affirms the theological convictions of SLPC as expressed in the Westminster Standards, commits to membership of SLPC, and desires to pursue ordination in the PCA
